IIM Rohtak Admission Process

Candidates who wish to enrol admission into the PGP programme need to have an undergraduate degree with at least 50% marks. Candidates must also submit CAT admission exam test score. Once students are selected based on the cut off list, applicants are invited for an interview and written test. 35% weightage is given to academic performance, work experience and diversity of the applicants. CAT score is also required in the DPM programme.

For admission into the IPM programme, applicants need to first clear the entrance exam. Final selection is based on the scores in written ability test personal interview and past academic performance. EPGPx applicants need to sit for an entrance exam like CAT or GMAT or GRE or GATE, the final selection is done on the basis of personal interview. Additionally, candidates are required to have a minimum of 5 years of managerial experience. For EFPM applicants, an entrance exam score and interview are held. All the above-mentioned admission criteria are more relaxed if the applicant has completed their undergraduate from IIM.

IIM Rohtak Admission Process

IIM Rohtak is ranked 19th best B-School in India by NIRF. The college has extensively changed its PGP (flagship) course 2020 admission process and eligibility criteria. From this year (2020) onward, the college is not participating in CAP (Common Admission Process) round and will conduct its own PI & WAT. The student registering for PI-WAT process will have to pay Rs 2000/- for registration. The last date for online registration for the PGP programme is January 21, 2020.

History of IIM Sambalpur

IIM Sambalpur was announced in 2014 by Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) and was established in 2015.[citation needed] The first batch of students started in September 2015.

It was initially mentored by IIM Indore until appointment of its independent director. IIM Sambalpur was registered as a Society under Societies Registration Act, XXI of 1860 on August 19, 2015. The present campus of Indian Institute of Management Sambalpur has been set up at Jyoti Vihar, Burla, Sambalpur, Odisha.

IIM Sambalpur has been allotted a piece of land measuring over 237 acres in Basantpur, for the permanent campus by the Government of Odisha.

During the mentorship period, IIM Sambalpur's recruited its own faculty and was frequented by guest faculty members from various IIM's and premier Institutes.

Indian Institute of Management Sambalpur is functioning from its temporary campus at Sambalpur University. The campus houses the one academic block, canteen, hostels, and an auditorium.

The Government of Odisha has selected 237 acres of land for the construction of the permanent campus of IIM Sambalpur at Basantpur.

In 2018, the Government of India proposed a budget of ₹400 crore (US$56 million) for facilitating the construction of the permanent campus and is expected to be ready by 2022.

Student accommodation

Students are provided single room accommodation in the 33 fully furnished dormitories spread across the campus.

There are three hostel buildings inside the campus of the institute; two for boys and one for girls. The students of IIM Sambalpur are provided rooms on a twin-sharing basis.

The rooms are properly ventilated and well furnished with a bed, almirah, mattress, study-tables and chairs provided to each student. Housekeeping staff maintains the cleanliness of the rooms on a daily basis.

High-speed Wi-Fi has been made available which is accessible from anywhere within the campus premises. Each hostel also has a separate common room where a TV and table tennis facilities are installed to cater to the recreational needs of the students.

Currently there's no provision for Married students so they cannot opt to live with their family in hostels. Stay in dormitories is mandatory for students. Basic amenities including washing machines, refrigerators and TVs are available at each dorm.

The agreement allows for the exchange of a limited number of students who are selected on the basis of their interests and a screening process. As a first step of the collaboration between the two premier B-Schools, IIM Sambalpur sent two of its students for a four-day Summer B-School program in Athens. The placement process at IIM Sambalpur is a student-driven process that institutionalizes placements for the entire batch. The Placement Committee elected by the students liaisons between the Institute administration, students and recruiters. Placements for the PGPs are characterized by two phases - summer placements for the first-year batch and final placements for the graduating batch. The summers process is conducted in Nov/Dec for the first yearites. The second year placement committee handles the process for them. The placement process for the graduating is conducted in two stages. The first is the laterals process in January where firms interview students with prior work experience and offer them mid-level managerial positions. The second stage is the final placement process in around February. This process is handled by the newly elected committee among the PGP1s to avoid any conflict of interest and ensure a fair process. Background of IIM Sirmaur

The institution started the first batch of its Post Graduate Program (PGP) in management from 4 September 2015. The institute has started groundwork for its activities under the guidance and mentorship of the Indian Institute of Management Lucknow.


The temporary campus of Institute of Management Sirmaur is at Himachal Institute of Technology, Paonta Sahib, Sirmaur. Paonta Sahib is an industrial town in the south of Sirmaur district and is well connected to Dehradun, Chandigarh, Shimla, Delhi etc. National Highway 7 passes through the town. Started in the year 2016, Elegante is the annual management, sports, and cultural fest of IIM Bodh Gaya organized by the cultural committee in coordination with all the other clubs and committees. It is a two-day event filled with excitement, entertainment, and enjoyment from management quizzes and case study competitions to sports competitions to cultural events and fashion shows. The 2019 version of Elegante saw the performance from renowned singer Gajendra Verma, standup comedian Kartikey Raj, Miss Bihar, and many more.

Journey till now

In its very first year, students of IIM Amritsar organized their maiden Management Conclave "A Square" in the month of January 2016 by inviting prominent speakers from the industry. In the second year, students organized their maiden HR conclave "Yukti" by inviting experts from all over the industry. Indian Institute of Management Amritsar has seven academic interest groups named as Analytics and Business Club, Finance and Economics Club, Markophilic- Marketing Club, Operazeal- Operations Club, Stratagem- Strategy and Consulting Club, Hrithvi- HR Club and COE(Centre of Entrepreneurship). A commitment was made by the Government of India in the Budget speech of the Finance Minister in July 2014 to establish five new IIMs in Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha and Punjab. In accordance with the same, the Indian Institute of Management Nagpur was established in Nagpur, Maharashtra on July 23, 2015, with the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad as its mentor institute.

Admission Policy

The admission process for the flagship two-year Post Graduate Programme at IIMN takes into account factors such as the candidates’ performance in the Common Admission Test (CAT), past academic performance, work experience and gender and academic diversity. The policy incorporates reservation of seats for candidates as per government norms.

Post Graduate Programme

The flagship academic programme at Indian Institute of Management Nagpur is the fully residential two-year Post Graduate Programme in Management. The programme is designed to create value-driven leaders who are equipped with a strong conceptual foundation and an analytical approach, while retaining touch with the socioeconomic milieu in which they will pursue their calling.

The curriculum for PGP is an eclectic mix of courses that includes various disciplines and functions of management. The first year curriculum involves compulsory courses which provide students with the fundamentals and enables them to understand the inter-dependencies of systems in an organization. Field Immersion Module

The Field Immersion Module at the Indian Institute of Management Nagpur has been envisioned as an opportunity for PGP students to interact with the industry. Not only does the module expose students to the actual day-to-day functioning of an organization, but it also allows them to apply managerial know-how that they learn in their classes to real-life issues.

Students get the opportunity to tackle management questions head-on in partner organizations. This has allowed students to test their knowledge in a high-stakes environment, leading to a proportionate elevation of accountability, and thereby, experiential learning.

Over the years, IIMN has partnered with a number of undertakings across sectors for the Field Immersion Module. The module has grown from 31 partners in the Nagpur district in 2015-16, to 61 in 2019-20. The Institute currently operates from a transit campus at the Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT) Nagpur. Development of the Permanent Campus

In 2018, the Ministry of Human Resource Development approved the construction of a permanent campus for IIM Nagpur, designed to accommodate 600 students. The Institute was granted Rs 379.68 crores for the construction of the first phase of the permanent campus, which covers approximately 60,000 sq.m of the allotted 132-acre plot in the non-SEZ area of the Multimodal International Cargo Hub and Airport at Nagpur (MIHAN).

The Ground-breaking ceremony of the IIMN permanent campus was held on March 06, 2019. Shri Nitin Gadkari, Minister for Road, Highways and Shipping, Govt. of India and Shri Devendra Fadnavis, former Chief Minister of Maharashtra, graced the occasion along with Guardian Minister of Nagpur, Shri Chandrashekhar Bawankule. The ceremony flagged off the first phase of the development of IIMN’s permanent campus.

The construction for Phase 1 began in May 2019. Phase 1 covers approximately 60,000 sq. m of the site, and includes the construction of 23 buildings – including a state-of-the-art academic complex, library, administrative block, student hostels, sports complex and faculty and staff housing. The campus will also house a Management Development Centre for the Institute’s Executive Education Programme (EEP) and IIM Nagpur’s entrepreneurship incubation centre, InFED, in addition to allied infrastructure. The project is expected to be completed in all respects by November 2020.


IIMN Foundation for Entrepreneurship Development (InFED)

Entrepreneurship is an area of strategic focus for IIMN. Hence a Centre for Entrepreneurship (CfE) is set up to foster research and education in entrepreneurship, and provide services, and incubation for entrepreneurs. In IIMN’s two-year flagship Post Graduate Programme in management, CfE offers a unique specialization area called Entrepreneurship with Incubation wherein the students get a rare opportunity to learn as well as explore hands-on entrepreneurship. 1. Women Startup Programme

As a part of its efforts to become a leading centre for entrepreneurial studies and start-up incubation in India, InFED has incubated nine women entrepreneurs under the Women Startup Programme (WSP), being conducted in collaboration with NSRCEL, IIM Bangalore. This programme is supported by Goldman Sachs and Department of Science & Technology, Government of India. The women entrepreneurs, currently being incubated by IIM Nagpur, are working in different sectors such as adventure sports, astronomy education, textile design, customized pet foods, food search & discovery service, finance, health & sanitation, and civic society. Chuo University, Graduate School of Strategic Management
IIM Nagpur signed a landmark agreement with Chuo University, Graduate School of Strategic Management (Chuo University, GSoSM) in February 2020. The agreement is the first of its kind with any major Asian university of higher education. The agreement paves the way for collaborative research on contemporary issues, faculty and student exchanges, and also cultural exchanges between the two schools. Focus areas will include managerial and administrative issues in the cross-cultural context, entrepreneurship, and management of technology, among others. Events of IIM Nagpur

The various student bodies at Indian Institute of Management Nagpur organize a plethora of events throughout the year. These include Illume – the industry-Institute interaction event, Utkarsh – the HR Conclave, Entro-Mile – the Entrepreneurship Conclave; and inter-institute management fests such as Tangerine Trails and Invicta. The first edition of the annual cultural festival, Zero Mile Fest, featured a concert by Hindi rock band, The Local Train. History of IIM Udaipur

IIM Udaipur was inaugurated on 30 July 2011 by C. P. Joshi, Minister of Road Transport and Highways. The institute was one of the seven IIMs established by the Indian government. The institute offered its postgraduate program (PGP) to 57 students in its first year, and its postgraduate executive program (PGPX) at a temporary campus located at the Polymer Science Building of the Mohanlal Sukhadia University (MLSU), Udaipur.

Mr. Pankaj Patel, the Chairman and Managing Director of Zydus Cadila, was appointed the Chairman of the Board of Governors of the institute in January 2016. Mr. Patel took over from Mr. C.K.Birla, Chairman of Hindustan Motors. Prof. Janat Shah, an IIT Bombay and IIM Ahmedabad alumnus, who was working with IIM Bangalore at that time as a full-time faculty was appointed as the institute's Director at its inception.

IIM Udaipur became operational from 2011 in a temporary campus located at Polymer Science Building, Mohanlal Sukhadia University (MLSU), Udaipur, Rajasthan. Construction is completed at the 300 acre land in the Balicha area of Udaipur, Rajasthan, which has been allocated by the Government of Rajasthan for the institute's new Campus. Then honourable Union Minister for HRD, Smriti Irani inaugurated the campus in 2016.

The institute started functioning from the new campus post completion of the first phase in April 2016.

The campus of IIM Udaipur has been conceptualized and designed by noted architect BV Doshi who is the recipient of the prestigious Pritzker Architecture Prize. He has also designed the campus at IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Bangalore . The IIM Udaipur campus has been constructed on a region surrounding 2 hillocks, with the student hostels and faculty housing on each with the academic block connecting the two in the valley. The Academic block has lakes being built on both sides and has multiple courtyards which are inspired by the many chowks in Udaipur City. The campus plan for IIM Udaipur has been awarded 5-star rating by GRIHA in 2018.


The hostels consist of clusters of low rise courtyard houses, which have been constructed taking into account the hot climate of the region. Currently the first-year MBA students are given accommodation based on twin sharing basis, whereas a single accommodation facility is provided for students of the second year and those from other courses. All the hostels are centred around the Mess and are connected to a shared open space and a large open-air amphitheatre which is being constructed.

Residences for the permanent faculty consist of a series of low-rise single-storey and duplex structures built around private courts and larger shared gardens whereas visiting faculty and staff have been provided with modular apartments.

MBA: The Masters in Business Administration (erstwhile known as Post Graduate Program(PGP) in Management) has been the flagship program of the Institute since its inception in 2011. The program is administered over 2 years in 6 trimesters with an internship at the end of the first year. The program aims to create socially responsible and highly skilled managers who can lead their organisations towards excellence. The teaching pedagogy followed by the institute consists of a mixture of Case studies, lectures, projects, simulations and business games. IIM Udaipur began admissions for its Fellow Program in Management (FPM) since 2016. The program is for all the candidates who wish to pursue their career in original research. This program admits students in all conventional areas of Business Management like Marketing, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain and Human Resource Management.

MDP and other short term courses

Apart from the above-mentioned courses, IIM Udaipur regularly organises Management Development Programs(MDP) for working professionals and senior management executives from various organisations.

In 2019, The Institute in collaboration with UCCI organised a MDP 'UCCI Emerging Leaders Programme 2019-20' for women in business. In addition to that, IIMU also completed with UCCI an MDP of ten months duration which was specifically catered towards family businesses. The Institute also ran a one-month 'Summer School for Future Leaders in Development' program which is geared towards professionals working in the Development and Public Policy space.


The admissions to the flagship two year MBA Program is done through the Common Admissions Test (CAT) followed by another level of screening process consisting of written tests and interviews. The interviews approximately take place during the month of February and March every year.The admissions for the one year MBA Programs are done through Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) or GRE and interviews for the shortlisted candidates. The admissions process for the one year MBA programs takes place from September to February every year.

Campus life of IIM Udaipur

The IIM Udaipur Community is known to be a highly student-driven community. There are many student-run clubs and societies at IIM Udaipur. Solaris: Solaris is the annual Management festival of the Institute. It is a two-day festival consisting of summits from multiple areas of Management like Finance, Economics, Operations and Analytics. The Leadership Summit is the flagship event of Solaris. Lieutenant General Satish Dua, PVSM, UYSM, SM, VSM; Piyush Pandey, Co-Executive Chairman, Ogilvy and Mather and Subir Gokarn, Deputy Governor, RBI and Executive Director, IMF are some of the notable luminaries who have spoken at Solaris.

The theme for the 5th edition of Solaris held in October 2019 was 'Success with Synergy'.


Audacity is the annual cultural festival of IIM Udaipur. It is a two-day event which comprises multiple fun events, competitions and shows by celebrities. The theme for sixth edition i.e. Audacity 2020 was 'Escape Reality'. Guru Randhawa and Rahul Subramanian were the notable celebrities who performed in Audacity 2020.


Utkrisht is the annual Sports festival of the Institute which is organised in January. Utkrisht '19 was the second year of the festival and saw the participation of multiple colleges for the plethora of sports events organised on the campus. The third edition of the annual marathon 'Udaipur Runs' was also organised with the theme 'Run with the Jawans'.

Netratva - The leadership talk series

The Institute regularly organises guest lectures by notable leaders from the business world under the Netratva series. Harish Bhat, Brand Custodian, Tata Group; Suresh Narayanan, CMD, Nestle India are some of the notable speakers who have delivered their talks as a part of this series.

Apart from the above events, IIM Udaipur organises multiple other events and summits throughout the year like Udaipur Litfest, 'Analytica', the Analytics summit; 'Spandan', the annual HR Summit and 'Prarambh', the B-plan competition event.


In December 2019, the Institute launched the first edition of the biannual 'Business Review' magazine.

Events: IIM Kashipur


Agnitraya is the annual flagship event of IIM Kashipur. It is a three-day inter-college fest consisting of events from Management, Sport and Cultural areas. Agnitraya'19 hosted over 1500 participants from over 30 colleges across India. As part of the fest, 10 management events, 15 sporting events, and 11 cultural events were conducted. In addition to these, Abhivyakti- an open mic recitation competition in association with The Social House, Model United Nations were also conducted. Coalescence is the annual management conclave of IIM Kashipur aimed at industry-academia collaboration. International Relations & Student Exchange Program

IIM Kashipur has established cooperative relations with École de management de Normandie (EM Normandie), Caen, Le Havre, Deauville, France as well as École supérieure pour le développement économique et social (ESDES) School of Business and Management, Lyon, France so as to further develop academic and cultural interchanges between the institutions through mutual assistance in the areas of education and research. The programme includes short-term exchange of students, exchange of faculty and development of joint research activities.



A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed between Indian Institute of Management Kashipur and Broadcast Engineering Consultants India Limited (BECIL) at IIM campus in Kashipur on 20 Dec 2012 states that BECIL will assist the IIM to set up a FM Community Radio Station which will be first of its kind in any IIM in India. The MOU was signed by Prof Gautam Sinha, Director of IIM Kashipur and Sri Abhay Gupta, Deputy General manager of BECIL.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed between Indian Institute of Management Kashipur and Asian Institute of Technology Bangkok at AIT campus in Bangkok on 19 Jan 2016 states that both IIM (Kashipur) and AIT will accept three exchange students beginning 2015–16. Both institutions will grant full credit transfer to the exchange students.
