IIM Calcutta Admission Process 2020
IIM Calcutta Admission 2020 has begun. The institute offers MBA, MBA Executive, PGPEX-VLM, PGDBA and doctoral courses under various disciplines of management studies. The institute has altered its weightage parameters to shortlist students by increasing the weightage assigned to their academic performance (56% weightage for CAT score and 44% for academics).
- The MBA programme requires a valid score in CAT exam (minimum 85 percentile)
- Admission to MBA is granted based on a cumulative score of components including CAT percentile, Personal Interview, WAT (Written Ability Test), past academic performance and work experience
- For admission to PGPEX-VLM, candidates must be engineering graduates
- Candidates need to have a Master’s degree with a minimum aggregate of 60% for admission to PGDBA
- A doctoral programme is also offered by the institute under various specialisations

IIM Calcutta Admission 2020: PGPM, PGDBA, PGPEx-VLM, PGPEx
IIM Calcutta offers 4 programmes in the field of management at the postgraduate level:
- Selection to PGPM course is based on CAT score, WAT & PI, academic profile and work experience (if any)
- Overseas candidates must have a valid GMAT score for admission to PGPM
- PGDBA course is jointly offered by IIM Calcutta, IIT Kharagpur, and ISI Kolkata
- For admission to PGDBA, candidates need to appear for a written test followed by an interview
- For PGPEx, candidates must have a valid GMAT score
- For admission to PGPEX-VLM, candidates must be engineering graduates
Detailed eligibility criteria for all these programmes is mentioned in the below table:

Admission to IIM Calcutta for MBA is offered based on the following criteria:
Stage I: Minimum requirement of CAT percentile for PI and WAT
At this stage, minimum CAT percentile cutoff of candidates is checked which is later considered for PI and WAT process.

NOTE: Cutoff mentioned in the above table is for the year 2019 since this year's CAT cutoff is not out yet.
Candidates who secure the above-mentioned percentile in CAT in their respective categories are considered for calculation of their composite score in Stage II.
Stage II: Short-listing for PI and WAT process
In this stage, a composite score is calculated by computing the percentage of Class 10th and Class 12th and assigning weights to different components such as CAT score, class 10th marks, class 12th marks, marks in the Bachelor’s degree and gender diversity factor. The institute is following the below-mentioned criteria to distribute weight to different components that are considered while deriving the composite score:

Application Process 2020
Candidates need to follow the below processes to apply for different courses:
- For PGPM, candidates are required to register through CAT official website. Candidates selected through CAT will be intimated for WAT/PI participation.
- PGPEx and PGDBA application form can be filled online on the official website of the institute. Candidates need to upload the scanned copy of colored passport-sized photograph not older than six months (maximum 500 KB) and scanned copies of transcripts of all examinations passed till date. A hard copy of the application form needs to be carried at the time of the interview.

- The average salary of the batch increased by 11.16% to Rs 27.18 lakh
- Median salary also stood at Rs 23 lakh with an increase of 14% as compared to the batch of 2018
