There has been a sharp rise in IIMs fee for each of the 20 IIMs during past few years. Apart from the tuition fee, IIM MBA fee structure comprises many other components. While some of the components like hostel fee, study material, library, alumni fee etc. are included in the each IIM Fees, other variable components like mess charges, study tours may be charged extra as per actual in the Fees of IIM for MBA programme. Some of the IIMs include most of the expenses in their total MBA fee.
Each IIM releases its fee structure in the admission offer before the beginning of the programme and specifically mentions which expenses are not covered in the respective IIM MBA fee structure.

IIM MBA Fee Structure: Key Components
There are 10-11 key components that constitute the IIM Fees for MBA. While the admission fee between Rs.50,000 to 2,50,000 has to be paid after accepting the admission offer by the stipulated date, rest of the IIM fee has to be paid semester wise.

IIMs increase MBA Fee Annually
IIM Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Calcutta and other IIMs increase their fee for each academic session. So far the most of the IIMs have announced the prospects for MBA Fee increase for the coming batch. IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Calcutta, IIM Bangalore, are set to increase their fee further.
