What is MAT?
Management Aptitude Test or MAT is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the All India Management Association (AIMA) for admissions to MBA/PGDM courses. Check important date of MAT exam 2020.
- The exam is conducted four times in a year -- February, May, September and December.
- Candidates who qualify the exam are eligible for admissions to 800+ B-schools accepting MAT scores.
- MAT is conducted in both offline (Paper Based T est or PBT) and online (Computer Based Test or CBT) modes. Candidates can choose to appear in the exam in any mode as per their preference. Fees, exam pattern and syllabus for both the modes are same while exam dates are different.
This year AIMA cancelled PBT and CBT mode exams for May session due to COVID 19 pandemic. The May session exam are being conducted in Remotely Proctored Internet Based Test (IBT) mode frorm May 25 till JUly 5, 2020.

The candidate should have completed graduation in any discipline from a recognized university
The candidates who have completed a professional degree such as CA, CS or ICWA are also eligible to apply for MAT exam
Final year graduation students are also eligible to apply.
MAT Exam 2020 Dates (IBT)
Check the table below for IBT mode test dates being conducted from May 25 to July 5, 2020. The exam will be held in three slots - 10:00am to 12:30 pm, 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm.

Admission Process Through MAT
MAT 2020 Admission Process has four stages ─ filling MAT application form, issuing of MAT admit card, MAT exam, declaration of MAT result. Candidates who qualify the exam, can apply for admission to any of the MAT accepting colleges of their choice. Each stage of MAT process is briefly explained below:
Step 1: Filling of MAT 2020 Application Form

Step 2: Issuance of MAT 2020 Admit Card
MAT 2020 admit card is issued to all the registered candidates. The MAT 2020 admit card is available online on the official website. In order to download hall ticket, candidate need to key in registration number, date of birth and qualifying exam hall ticket number.
Step 3: MAT Exam
MAT 2020 exam is conducted in both PBT and CBT mode. The exam is conducted across various test centres in India. This year, AIMA has introduced IBT mode exam for applicants of May session. In this mode, the candidates can take the exam from home. Check MAT 2020 exam pattern to understand the structure of the Exam.
Step 4: Declaration of MAT 2020 Result
MAT 2020 result will be released on the official website. Candidates can check their scorecard and download MAT 2020 result by using MAT Admit Card number, registration number and date of birth.
